A Master Station Logging system for automated, auditable recording and monitoring of mission-critical enforcement and support operations.

 

QLog v2.5 Enhancement Specifications
(Initial Release date: March 10, 2003)

The table below specifies the QLog v2.5 enhancements that are above and beyond the current release (v2.1). The specified enhancements include all newly implemented features developed under:

  • Government Development contracts, and
  • Government/Commercial Client Maintenance/Support contracts.

Application

Feature

General Framework

  • SQL 2000 compliant.
  • Database Reorganization:
    • System Database—Contains all System specific tables
    • Application Database – Contains all Application tables
    • Log Database(s) – Contains the MSL log entries
  • Single Consolidated *.ini Configuration File:
    • Client able to specify Paths and Databases
  • Generic logins (User-Name) handling:
    • Client not restricted to SSN or HashID logins
  • Date/Time/User Stamping for Login stats.
  • Application/Region(s) association improved:
    • Regions can be assigned to specific applications.
  • User/Region(s) association improved:
    • Users can be assigned to specific regions.
  • Application attribute specification greatly improved to allow many Client specific Application options.
  • User attribute specification greatly improved to allow many User specific attributes to be assigned:
    • User may/may-not view SSN’s and/or "sensitive" contact numbers.
    • User may be assigned QLog administrative privileges.
  • Users may be assigned specific profiles (group privileges).
  • Extensive general database and code improvements for all applications improving record retrieval and error handling.
  • Application code improvements enabling the rapid implementation of new application features.

MSL

  • Enhanced the Post-to-Region form auto-build/sizing algorithm.
  • Increased application stability with enhanced error trapping routines.

MSL Search

  • Added code to restrict the retrieval of log entries from Regions restricted to the specific User.

Personnel

  • Added the ability to assign a Secondary Office to individuals.
  • Increased security by restricting the viewing/editing of SSN’s via a User attribute.
  • Restricted the viewing/editing of contact numbers via a Phone-type attribute coupled with a User attribute.
  • Enhanced the error trapping routines for added stability.

Offices

  • Added the ability for the application to automatically assign a Geographic Region Identifier when a new County and/or City and/or Office are created.
  • Increased security by restricting the ability to edit Offices assigned to Regions not assigned to the User.

Bulletin Board

  • Enhanced the Post-to-Region form auto-build/sizing algorithms.
  • Restricted viewing of posted Notes via the User assigned Regions.

Reports

  • Generation and Viewing of Reports via Crystal Reports.
  • Interface into 3rd party Excel-based work scheduler.
  • Add/Edit/View only access control for Reports/Schedule.

Training

  • Enhanced algorithms relating to Adding and Approving Training Sessions.

All Other Applications

  • Modified to work within the re-designed database structure.
  • Increased application stability via enhanced error trapping.

Documentation

  • Enhanced Help Files for several Applets.

Notes:

Software patches for individual applications are released as necessary.

Client specific enhancements that fall outside the software subscription contract may be implemented via an individual software enhancement contract.
